At what rate is the digital landscape replacing on premise printing?

I had this question awhile back. With the rapid push to move everything to the ‘cloud’ and replace tangible objects with digital assets, I was interested in answering the question while focusing on the time principle. It wasn’t a clear definite, but more of a ever changing answer. It actually related to the core of belief on the question.

I personally think there will always be a place for printing devices. I do also believe that the technology is outdated and requiring a major upgrade. This upgrade comes in the form of innovation, and that is something all major manufacturers lack. They lack the ideas of their creators and focus on only the thing they are good at…which is usually counting.

Digital Signatures

Let’s take digital signing of documents into focus. This is a really neat feature that has come about recently that has sped up the amount of time it takes to have someone sign a document, or ease of signing is another way they put it. But let’s think about this for a minute, does this serve the person signing? Or does it serve the person asking for signature?

Now the signer has to find a way to print those documents to keep a personal record for themselves…o wait are you thinking that ‘they can just keep them in their email online.’ Yea, that’d be a great idea…for that moment. But what happens if they need that document to verify something? Well…then they have to print it and show it to whoever is asking. There’s that print thing again.

Okay, but maybe you say that that document was not as important and can be emailed to the person asking for verification. Sure…fair enough. But does the court of law allow that? Does a judge allow digital things sent or to be entered into evidence? No, they require copies of the documents to proceed as evidence…if necessary. Now if the governing body still requires tangible documents, does this mean digital signatures will ever replace printers?

Email

Below email, how did you write a letter and send it to someone? Did you use a computer, type it out and then print it? No, you were 8 and were trying to hand-write a thank you card to grandma. =)

Spam

I’m just gonna leave this one here…are you telling me that you don’t get spam mail that you never signed up for? Didn’t think so…

By the way…I wonder what the tree count is for direct mail marketing companies?

In conclusion the answer became pretty simple. The rate that which the digital landscape is replacing on premise printing is a null question. The digital landscape can’t fully replace tangible objects because there has to be proof of somethings. At the root of the tangible thing a printer does, digital seems like a cheap trick.

How to Use a Copy Machine

Welcome to the Blog about how to use a copy machine. Thank you for visiting our page, below we are going to talk about that and hopefully provide you with a better understanding of a copy machine and all it does.”

Xerox copiers provide the best features for copying in cost effective price with advanced security modules, easy to access tools, mobile connectivity, WiFi service, cloud connected applications, touch screens, etc. It’s not a headache any more to know how to use a copy machine. All instructions with pictures and videos are available on our website. You can go through the videos to see how easy the printing job is. Some MFP printers have more smart features and also come with lifetime warranty.

Steps to handle a copy machine:

Step 1 : First you have to switch on the power button and it may take a few seconds to make the machine ready for work. Then touch the “Press it” button on the touch pad. Now your machine is on.

Step 2 : Loading the paper in the tray : Open various trays one by one to load papers of different size i.e. A4 (Normal Size), A3 or Legal size. If your printer has just one tray you have to insert papers according to your printing preferences. But printers with various trays for loading different size papers are best for multi functions.

Step 3 : Follow the Screen Instructions to know the various Function buttons. You have to choose how many copies you need, color mode, change the contrast I.e dark or light, select the mode to copy on both sides or single side(advance functions) and also you can select the connection options.

Step 4 : Your copier is now ready. Put the document you want to make copies on the top or scanning area, check the alignment properly and then press the button. If you have two sided paper the copier dealer has to choose the two sided option and press “OK”.

Step 5 : Collect the papers : Select the Finishing button and choose the page order options accordingly and press “OK” . Then select number of copies and “Go”. The pages in your out-put tray will be arranged automatically in your preferred sequence with the required no of copies. You can count or check them for your confirmation but usually you don’t need to do it as the machine is so smart and does its job error free. You can select finishing and choose the staple position usually top left corner press “OK” if you want your document to be stapled.

How is a Xerox Copier Different From a Laser Printer?

Welcome to the Blog about How is a Xerox copier different from a laser printer. Thank you for visiting our page, below we are going to talk about that and hopefully provide you with a better understanding of the difference for both.”

Xerox Copiers :

Xerox copiers provide the features like: printing, copying, advanced security modules, easy accessibility, mobile connectivity, WiFi facility, touch screens, etc.

Laser Printer:

Laser printers also give easy handling interfaces, make your job simple, cost effective, have advanced security for the system, mobile printing facility which helps you to give command to print from anywhere, anytime. Better paper handling, touch screen tools, with advanced applications provides a smart workplace with WiFi connectivity.

Difference between Xerox copy machines and laser printers :

1.Copiers and laser printers have a major difference in image formation on the photosensitive drum.

2. A copier uses a bright light and lens which focus on the image. A strip is used to scan the image in most of the copiers onto the drum. The lenses are adjusted with the drum and the strip to take the image.

3.A laser printer uses a low power sharp and focused laser beam to scan one line at a time on the drum. Modern laser printers use infra-red solid state laser diodes but copiers use different technology.

4.Copiers use a positive process while laser printers use a negative process.

5.In copiers dark areas on the original result in marks on the paper and in laser printers if there is a spot of light results in a dark mark on the paper.

6.Laser printers are combined with buffer memory so that multiple copies can be made without re scanning the original image which is impossible in copiers.

7.In laser printers sorting and collating is more flexible, scaling and rotation can be done digitally which is not possible with simple copiers.

8.The exposure process is different for copiers and laser printers.

9.For copiers, a broad strip is focused onto the drum. When the drum starts working, a quartz lamp and the strip mirror moves along the original. The second strip helps the strip mirror’s movement. In this way the entire original image is captured by the rotating drum. It takes the entire image at a time. For laser printers, the negative image of the page is stored in the printers buffer memory and is read and scanned onto the drum. It takes one line at a time.

10.In copiers, the relative charges of the drum and toner are set up so that toner is drawn to the unexposed portions of the drum resulting in a positive image, but in laser printers its opposite.
