What is a Color Multifunction Device?
A Color Multifunction Device (also known as a copier or copy machine) is a machine that makes paper color copies of documents and other visual images. Most current photocopiers use a technology called xerography. This is a procedure that uses electrostatic charges on a light-sensitive photoreceptor to attract and transfer toner particles (a powder) onto paper in the form of an image. Combing heat and pressure the toner sticks to the paper. (Copiers can also use other technologies such as ink jet, but xerography is standard for office copying.)
Floor Standing or Desktop?
When looking to lease a small office copier there are two important options to choose from. Do you lease a floor standing copy machine or a desktop multi function printer? What are the copier machine prices? If this device is going to be utilized by everyone in the office, it is important that it is a all in one printer. All in one copy machines come standard with the ability to Print, Copy, and some sort of Scanning feature. These options for a commercial copier are standard for all small businesses. Multifunction desktop copy machines are often heavy and large. They require more table space and a larger work area. We recommend if your office has more then five employees, you should have a floor standing device.
InkJet or Laser
Finding the best all in one printer to lease is then next confronted with another question. Do I lease a injet all in one or a laser all in one? Ink Jets are always going to be more expensive in the log run. In fact, Floor standing Inkjet copiers do not exist for this reason. Laser copy machines that are floor standing have been the default for many years. There are some inkjet desktop color multifunction devices that work well. However, if you have more then 5 people in your office or you are printing more then 500 pages a month, you will quickly find that inkjet is not the way to go. Color laser printers/all in ones will be faster, more efficient, and save you money.
How Do I Choose?
We know you want the best color multifunction printer for the cheapest multifunction printers price. It’s our suggestion that if you are looking for a cheap color all in one printer, then you should start with a 60 or 63 month lease term. This will give you the cheapest copier month to month price. Don’t worry about the machine breaking or being old. With the included maintenance package for your copier, everything is free. Free copier service, free copy machine toner and supplies, free parts and labor or repairs, and even free shipping on the supplies. Our copy machine maintenance packages protect you during your lease. And, if the multifunction can not be fixed during the course of your lease, we replace the copier for free.
